Contract Administration
Effective contract administration is a must to mitigate disputes between project stakeholders and to ensure effective functioning of any construction contract. Furthermore, proper contract administration mitigates the potential for claims which ultimately saves substantial amount of time and cost.
We, The Six Consultancy provides contract administration services to our clients with the ultimate goal of successful contract completion and minimal disputes and claims.
Services Provided during Pre-construction;
- Prepare contract documents in accordance with applicable specifications and legislation
- Review for approval the construction baseline schedule proposed by the contractor
- Shop-drawing review and identification of long lead-time items
Services Provide during Post-construction:
- Respond to Contractor’s RFI’s, and maintain a RFI log
- Implementation of change management system with logs in accordance with project management principles and prepare change directives and change orders for approval in timely manner
- Determine if the contractor is carrying out the work in accordance with the contract documents
- Review the contractor progress schedules and provide recommendations
- Prepare and process progress payments
- Review and provide recommendations for contractor claims
- Perform quality control audits
- Coordinate and liaise with the project stakeholders as necessary
- Prepare and maintain an updated master deficiency list, and issue at appropriate milestones. Carry out final inspection and issue a deficiency list for substantial performance and re-inspect as necessary
